Terms of service

These terms govern the use of Less Than Three, a personal service published by Pierre Goutheraud. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them.

1. Access

You must be at least 16 years old and able to accept these terms. Sign-in uses a Google account through Supabase. You are responsible for that account’s security and activity performed through your session.

2. How the service works

Less Than Three helps two people record expenses, reimbursements, and split rules in a shared space. Calculations are indicative and based on information entered by users. The service is not a bank, payment method, or source of financial, tax, legal, or accounting advice.

3. Shared spaces and invitations

Invite only someone authorized to see your shared information. Each member can view and change shared data. Together, you are responsible for accurate entries, agreed split rules, and settlements made outside the application.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the service for unlawful or fraudulent purposes;
• access another person’s account or data without permission;
• disrupt, bypass, or abusively test security mechanisms;
• submit malicious content or content that infringes others’ rights;
• resell or commercially exploit the service without permission.

5. Availability and changes

The service is provided free of charge and may change, undergo maintenance, or experience incidents. Reasonable efforts are made to preserve availability and data, without guaranteeing uninterrupted or error-free operation. Keep separate copies of information you must retain.

6. Suspension

Access may be limited or suspended when necessary to protect the service or users, comply with law, investigate abuse, or stop a serious breach of these terms. Where reasonably possible, you will be notified.

7. Deletion and ending use

You may stop using the service or delete your account from settings. The effect on shared history is described in the privacy policy and account-deletion page.

8. Intellectual property

Less Than Three’s software, name, text, interface, and graphics are protected by applicable rights. You remain responsible for content you enter and grant only the technical rights needed to host it and share it with your partner.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Pierre Goutheraud is not responsible for financial decisions based on calculations, entry mistakes, disputes between members, temporary unavailability, or acts of third-party services. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

10. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by French law without depriving consumers of mandatory protections in their country of residence. If a problem occurs, first email pierre.goutheraud@gmail.com to seek an amicable solution.

11. Changes

These terms may be updated as the service or law changes. Material changes will be communicated reasonably. The date at the top identifies the applicable version.
